10 Trends That We Need In Our Lives Right Now
Denim that makes your ass look 100
Everyone loves (and needs) a piece of denim that does two things….1) makes your butt look good AND 2) are comfortable. My top contender is still the Levis Wedgie with Abercrombie & Fitch (they’ve re-branded) Ultra High Rise Ankle Straight Jeans coming in as a close second. Both of these jeans have three important things in common: they are high-waisted, work for all body types (Abercrombie makes a “curve love” version too), and are about $100. Although the Levis Wedgie doesn’t have stretch, it molds to the hips and gives you that beautiful curve and shape. My Wedgies are great for more casual outfits while the Abercrombie jeans can be dressed up. Additionally, since I am a Levis girl, another great option is the Ribcage which is a super high rise and pairs best with crop tops. Any way you look at it, you really can’t go wrong with any of these solid denim options.

Insta-everything
Time is money ya’ll and having help should not be frowned upon. I am a more productive, happier person when I am putting myself, my family, my marriage, and my business first. We take full advantage of all the amazing (and helpful) services available to us. Babysitting, Door Dash, Instacart, housekeepers – we live in an era where we have access to so many helpful resources and services, why not utilize them? I’m all about eliminating sources of stress and I have found that when I have help with these day-to-day tasks, I’m able to put my energy into other things that in turn allow me to live a more enjoyable life. Amen to that.
Collagen skincare
Collagen is having its moment *a very long moment*. It’s what keeps our skin from sagging and gives us that plump, youthful look. So naturally, when collagen levels are high, the skin is softer, smoother, and more firm. Everything about my skin has improved. It’s more hydrated, I’m having fewer breakouts, my pore size or at least the appearance of pores has improved and I can’t help but love the fact that collagen products allow the skin cells to renew and repair themselves. This is why collagen (in my opinion) is such an important ingredient you NEED in your skincare regimen. Here are a few of my favorite collagen-packed products.

Self-care as health care
Whether you jumped on the self-care trend years ago or it was the pandemic that did it, most of us have resolved to take a more kind and gentle approach towards ourselves by focusing on our mental and physical health first. Blame it on the rise of #girlboss culture, but we’ve spent the last decade staying late at work, sleeping five hours a night, wolfing down dinner at our desks in hopes of "having it all". Oh and let's not forget to mention getting sick once a month. THAT mentality (thank god) is a thing of the past.
A neutral summer sandal
Warmer weather means breathable footwear. Every girl needs a solid pair of neutral sandals that will go with her everywhere. And because they will get so much use, they must be cute, affordable, and comfortable. Here are my favorites.

30-minute workouts
Keeping fit and healthy (both physically and mentally) has never been more so important, especially after the pandemic. Working out consistently has been a huge part of my life, especially since having kids but it wasn't I suffered some injuries that forced me to change things up. For years I had a goal to workout five days a week. I tracked it, monitored it and on those days I worked my butt off. Hour-long yoga sculpt in heated rooms, long-distance running, it was very common for me to work out for about an hour because that's what I thought I needed to get the results I desired.
Like many of us, during the pandemic fitness became my crutch and I found myself working out more often than ever (every day) but for shorter periods of time. Mentally, I felt better than ever, and watching the effects on my body proved that I was still getting an amazing workout in half the time. Thirty minutes is also great for a variety of workouts, yoga, barre, pilates and I have found most HIIT and strength workouts seem to fall right in that 20 to 40-minute range as well. 2020 was the year we learned to work out smarter, not harder.
Cauliflower everything
I find myself returning to the same burning question over and over: is there anything that cauliflower can't do? Cauliflower is already the magical ingredient used to replace most of the carby foods I love to eat so much (rice, pasta, pizza crust). And I love any opportunity to sneak more veggies into my meals. Have you swapped out your carbs for cauliflower yet?
A fresh chop
Coco Chanel once said, "a woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life"... and I have to agree. Speaking from my recent experience, my haircut was one of the most liberating things I’ve done in years. I had heard claims that something as small as a haircut can be the spark that ignites creativity and courage in some. It can also be used to punctuate a life change through the purging of the old, the closing of a life chapter, and the beginning of a fresh new page. Sounds crazy, but I’m a believer. Cutting inches from my hair left me feeling lighter in so many ways and I’ve been so happy with the shift. My only regret is not doing it sooner.
No bloat
Look, having some bloat during your period is totally normal. A puffy stomach after a giant bowl of pasta? Totally expected. However, if you’re experiencing the kind of bloating that is often painful, it might create major bowel issues and is happening at least once a week (no fun) you may need to change up your diet, or (worst case) you could have something more serious. The good news, almost all gut issues can all be treated or at least managed so you’re not dealing with painful bloat forever.
In general, make sure you’re aware of the foods that can cause bloating, by avoiding salty and processed foods and including fiber-rich foods into your diet. Sometimes eating slower does the trick, there are plenty of teas (ginger)and yoga poses that can also help. But when that’s not enough, there are a handful of supplements that can (and do) help with bloating.
Charcoal is an amazing option. It can bind to what is in our gut causing discomfort and help flush it from our body. Take them when you’ve eaten something greasy or even if you’ve had too much to drink. Deal changer.
Bad bacteria in our intestine can lead to digestive issues like bloat and pain. Regulating this with a probiotic has helped me a ton. I take mine every morning. As I said, de-bloat supplements are all the rage right now. Here are some of my favorites and a few I’m trying out.
*Remember to read the labels carefully and check with your doctor before taking any new supplements.

Budget friendly accessories
Trends come and go too fast. Lately, I've mostly been gravitating towards comfortable, versatile basics that I can get the most wear out of, bodysuits, a great pair of denim, and blazers. To liven things up a little, I've been adding a slew of accessories to my rotation because they don't quite break the bank but make any outfit a little more fun and fashion-forward. Gone are the days of saving up hundreds of dollars for a pair of sunglasses I could misplace the following day. I am done - and it feels great! Nowadays, most of my favorite, everyday “flare” I’m sporting is super reasonable. Purses, jewelry, and sunglasses that are chic - but cheap. I LOVE Amazon for so many of my favorite daily accessories. Check out my AMAZON STOREFRONT here.
