From Napa, With Love
Napa, California with best friends (and wine) is allllllways the recipe for a great time! We were lucky enough to sneak away for a few days and escape reality. For us Napa is a very quick flight followed by a short drive away. The perfect getaway to make you feel like you are in Italian wine country far, far away.We were there for harvest this year, so the scenery was especially beautiful. Romantic weekend getaways with the husband, bachelorette parties, and in this case, a quick girls weekend....it's easy to say that Napa has become one of my favorite places to celebrate. There are over 400 wineries to choose from and too many delicious restaurants, Napa is about indulging.
We thoroughly enjoyed a spa day at The Meritage Spa, which happens to be in a cave! Be sure to check them out for a massage, facial, and don't forget their jacuzzi and steam room.Here are a few tips and tricks we have learned from our many visits to Napa...
- Heels are amazing, but walking around wineries can sometimes leave you trumping thru dirt, gravel or slippery surfaces (especially if you are touring)....we recommend cute flats, wedges, booties, or something with a stable heel.
- Take it from us, the days turn into nights fast in Napa. Choose to wear something that can easily transition to night. Napa doesn't have much of a nightlife, most of our fun is done in the day into dinner time.
- Bring a jacket! The days can be so warm and sunny, but Napa is a valley that chills off very quickly when the sun goes down.
